ISUZU D-MAX PICK-UP A REAL RECORD BREAKER

Belfast Telegraph - NI Carfinder - - News -

ISUZU D-max, Northern Ireland’s best-selling pick-up, is on the brink of another sales record — by the end of this month the mighty D-max will have sold more pickups here in the first half of this year than it did in the whole of last year — itself a third record year of sales.

To understand this astonishing success we spoke with Isuzu NI regional manager Alastair Kerr. “We’re delighted to have so many existing and new customers. Sales are up 70% year to-date,” he said.

“At the start of this year we were predicting another period of strong growth but this is unprecedented, exceeding our most optimistic projections.

“There are a number of disparate factors contributing to runaway growth. Our UFU Affinity deal means the complete work and premium model ranges are available to UFU members, through all our dealers, a genuine additional saving to the agricultural sector buyer.

“Farmers love D-max, we had many visitors to our stand at Balmoral saying they wished they’d changed years earlier.”

Alastair added: “For the business user our strong residuals are delivering incredibly low entry prices and monthly rentals on Contract Hire — VAT regis- tered companies can drive away a £22,500+VAT pick up for just £699 down and £239 monthly — and change every two years. The competition can’t get anywhere near those figures, only D-max has such an strong residual”.

“As D-max is a commercial vehicle, business users can reclaim all the VAT on purchase and monthly payments, maintenance and repairs, and user choosers save thousands of pounds in BIK against a comparable priced and specced car. D-max has the same low BIK as a van, but can be equipped with all the luxuries such as full leather, heated seats, satnav, reverse camera, infotainment etc. Businesses can offset the entire purchase price of their D-max against Capital Allowances in year one. Any good accountant will advise their client not to miss out on this substantial tax saving opportunity.”

He continued: “Of course we all want a pound to do five pounds work in these demanding economic times. D-max delivers and more. It has the best warranty in the sector — 125,000 miles/five years, the 2.5 litre twin turbo tows a class-leading 3.5 tonnes and still delivers 39mpg overall through a six-speed manual gearbox (fivespeed auto option also available). D-max has earned a reputation as Best in Class. At Isuzu we only build commercials so every part is engineered to do a tough day’s work, we don’t take parts from the car assembly line and put them to a job they were never designed for.

“D-max is a thoroughbred, the sales figures prove our customers here totally get that.

“Our dealers are Western Cars Enniskillen, John Barr Cars Crumlin, Wilson’s of Rathkenny in Ballymena, Eakin Bros Claudy, Gormley’s Dungannon and Eastwood Motors Lisburn. Call in and see for yourself, you’ll be made most welcome.”
