ISUZU’S NORTHERN STARS SHINE BRIGHTLY

Belfast Telegraph - NI Carfinder - - News -

“HERE in Northern Ireland our specialist dealers are consistently bucking all trends and outperforming the national network,” said Paul Tunnicliffe, Managing Director of Isuzu UK, on his most recent visit .

“The NI team have worked hard to establish Isuzu D-max as Northern Ireland’s Number 1 pick-up — the sheer number of D-maxes on the roads here readily confirms that.

“Nationally we’re enjoying our fourth straight record year, and sales growth in NI outshines UK results. Our NI dealers really are our Northern stars and I’m here to thank them personally.”

Tunnicliffe is based in Coleshill, Birmingham and has masterminded years of successes for the Brand — the UK is the biggest export market for Isuzu worldwide, outside of Japan.

The Northern Ireland network has grown steadily to six outlets with exponential sales growth year-on-year and 2016 is set to be their most successful thus far.

The Isuzu D-max became available on the UFU Affinity programme at the end of 2015 and the brand has largely filled the void left by the demise of the Land Rover Defender. Unlike their competition, the Isuzu UFU Affinity deal is available from all six dealers in NI.

“The basics drive our success,” said Tunnicliffe.

“First a great product that sells here largely by word of mouth. One customer buys, loves the product and the personal service they get from our dealers and they recommend Isuzu to friends and family. That’s hugely powerful.

“Class leading 3.5 tonne towing and class leading warranty help too — as does the option to purchase the first three services for only £499+VAT.

“On a three-year finance agreement that’s under 50p a day to have peace of mind for up to six years’ servicing: our customers at Balmoral Show told me they wanted to spread costs, we introduced Service Plan and it’s now a must-have.

“Value for money is crucial. Northern Ireland’s farmers, tradesmen and lifestyle buyers want at least £5 bang from every pound they spend on their vehicle.

“We’re up front and keep faith with Isuzu owners — we announced three months in advance of our impending October 1st price increase that D-max is going up.

“We want as many customers who are considering changing to be fully aware of the savings on offer currently — none of our customers should miss that chance to act because we didn’t communicate with them.

“We’ve also got an unbeatable two-year £199 a-month Contract Hire deal on Yukon this month only — even more added value.”

“Finally and most importantly – we’re ‘ hands on’ and listening. We only operate through dealers where we have an owner operator who is in the business every day. No big groups, no faceless impersonal service.

“Customers tell their dealer, they tell me. I listen carefully, and react.

“It’s given us a leading edge and I don’t intend to let our Northern Ireland customers down. Our Northern Stars will twinkle even more brightly in future years, I’m confident of that.”
