NEW SKODA SUV LAUNCHED IN NORTHERN IRELAND
JOHN Mulholland Motors last week unveiled Skoda’s new Kodiaq SUV at a special VIP event in their Randalstown showroom.
Customers lined up to take an exclusive peek at a seven-seat version of the car fresh from the factory.
They were told how the car had recently scooped the award for Best Large SUV at the 2017 What Car of the Year Awards.
Speaking at the event, company dealer principal John Mulholland said: “The new Skoda Kodiaq is a real game changer for us and the brand.
“I fully anticipate that all our early build slots will be snapped up within a matter of days and we will see extended lead times for new orders.
“The motoring press are absolutely raving about the build quality and driveability of this new vehicle which is already putting the fear up many of its more expensive rivals.”
Launch trim levels S, SE, SE L (the seven-seater) and Edition are expected to be complemented with Sportline and Scout models later this year.
All engines feature Stop-start system, brake energy recovery and a powerful thermo-management system that contributes to low consumption, he said.
The Kodiaq’s official showroom launch is next month but the car is available to pre-order now.
John Mulholland is the longest-established Skoda dealer in Northern Ireland, supplying vehicles since 1999.
Over 70 people are employed at the company’s two locations: Randalstown (Skoda, Hyundai and Ford) and Campsie (Skoda and Hyundai).
