NORTHERN Ireland has no shortage of beautiful scenery and we certainly know how to make the most of the natural beauty when it comes to designing houses.

Our two main feature homes this week both enjoy very different but equally beautiful locations.

The house on the right sits right on the shoreline in one of Co Down’s most prestigious residential areas at Cultra.

The private, elevated site offers spectacular views over the sea which can be enjoyed from most of the main rooms in this magnificent house as well as the large gardens which roll down to the coastline.

Built in 2009, it has a high end interior with a cavernous 6,500sq ft of beautifully finished accommodation over two floors.

You even have your own lift to whisk you up to the first floor and there is a spectacular 52ft long drawing and dining room.

On pages 4 and 5 we have another striking bespoke home which is nestled in beautiful countryside beside Castle Ward estate and offering views towards Killyleagh and Strangford Lough.

Built in 2001, the design of the property was influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement which can be found in the many fine details inside.
