SCARLETT’S NEW HOME ON THE HUDSON
The famous faces on the property ladder
SCARLETT Johansson has forked out £3.03 million on an historic house designed by the man who was the architect of the White House.
The luxury four bedroom/four bathroom property is in the sought after celebrity haunt of New York’s Palisades.
The Avengers actress has bought the house with boyfriend Colin Jost.
Known as the Ivy House, it was designed by architect and Palisades resident Eric Gugler – who was hired by Franklin D Roosevelt to redesign the West Wing of the White House in the 1930s.
Pretty as a picture, the house is covered in ivy and has wrought-iron balconies, gardens and a pool overlooking the Hudson River.
The star- studded neighbourhood, sometimes referred to as Hollywood on the Hudson is also home to Bill Murray, Björk and Angelina Jolie.

‘A STAR is Born’ actor Bradley Cooper has splashed out £ 10.2 million on a townhouse in New York.
The property in Greenwich Village is close to where the actor and supermodel Irina Shayk have been living with their one year old daughter Lea De Seine.
The writer, director and Lady Gaga co- star of the newly released ‘A Star Is Born’ gave up alcohol in his twenties but his new home boasts a 1,000 bottle wine cellar.
The six- bedroom, four- bathroom red- brick house also comes with a big private garden.
