I was wrong over Windsor claims: ex-Celtic player
A MAN walked free from Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday after he was convicted of claiming £18,300 benefits he was not entitled to.
Jamie Kerr (26), of Springfield Avenue, Belfast, claimed Income Support, Carer’s Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £18,305 while failing to declare employment. He was given a five-month prison sentence suspended for two years.
In a separate case, Stephen Connolly (57), of Cliftonville Road, Belfast, claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £16,735 while failing to declare an income and employment. He was given 240 hours community service.
