Teenager held over raids on 15 lorries and six premises
A TEENAGER is being questioned over a spate of burglaries at homes and businesses in east Belfast.
Some 15 lorries were broken into on Wednesday night while a number of iPads, mobile phones and other valuables were taken from homes.
Detectives are interviewing the 18-year-old man following six burglaries and attempted burglaries which were reported in streets in the vicinity of Castlereagh Road. Detective Sergeant Kelly said: “One local business reported that 15 lorries had been broken into and electronic equipment taken from each.
“Householders also reported games consoles, iPads, mobile phones and other valuables missing. A number of items of property have been recovered.
“A number of stolen items may have been discarded. If anyone recovers electronic or personal items they are urged to contact police.”
