Melanie’s final days are an inspiration to her family

Belfast Telegraph - - VIEWPOINT -

We all know that one day we will die, yet it is often only when faced with a health crisis that the full impact of our mortality hits home. Tandragee woman Melanie Daniel faced a terminal diagnosis of breast cancer with great courage, but also a determination to make the most of every remaining day. And she did. She organised a glorious family holiday and also married her partner Paul in an emotional ceremony and celebration before, cruelly, she died two days later. It was her joy for life in adversity and her recognition that precious time spent with loved ones was vital in the days left to her that inspires those she left behind.
