Printing wage bill would shame MLAs

-

I WOULD like to suggest that your newspaper begins to print a daily running total of the Northern Ireland Assembly wage bill, which has amassed while the recipients are still not sitting, preferably on your front page.

That, together with photographs of them using Government vehicles and doing anything other than the jobs the electorate pays them for, would add to this.

Readers could be invited to send in photos of their MLAs ‘working’ anywhere but where they should be. A campaign of ridicule, if you will.

Finally, printing an answer from one of them each day as to why they are not working — even if it’s 300 words of complete gibberish — and it may be that the people of Northern Ireland may feel that someone is actually sticking up for them, while these creatures thumb their noses from behind their electric gates.
