Hello from our team
Welcome to your new-look Berkshire Life. We’ve been busy over the past month putting together a new version of your favourite local magazine. Whilst it’s still packed with everything you love about the county, walks, events, people and places, we’ve also added some great new lifestyle pages and a new columnist – Mink Kapferer. On page 13 she tells us why, after a rocky start, she now loves Berkshire.
This month sees the reopening of a very different Skindles in Maidenhead. In an exclusive interview for Berkshire Life, Jan Raycroft caught up with Michel Roux and his son Alain, pictured, to find out what’s in store at this legendary Berkshire restaurant (see page 78).
Meanwhile in Windsor, locals are gearing up for the second royal wedding this year – this time it’s the turn of Princess Eugenie and her wine expert fiancé Jack Brooksbank . We can’t wait to see what Fergie will be wearing!
Home lovers are in for a treat too this month with our bumper 55-page section on homes, property and interiors. Here you’ll find all you need to update your home with the latest interior trends and buys. And if you’re one of the increasing number of people working from home, turn to page 143 to discover the best Berkshire homes with some very impressive home offices.
If you’ve got children, we’ve done the hard work and found seven of the best local half term events they’ll love and we’ve also introduced a regular parenting page too.
We’ve had a great time putting together this issue of Berkshire Life so we hope you enjoy it.
See you next month.
