The historic town of Windsor was in the international spotlight earlier this year as the world tuned in to watch the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The combined attractions of the Castle, Windsor Great Park and the River Thames make the town an attractive proposition all year round.

A rare opportunity to buy a new build home on the banks of the Thames is being marketed by Savills. Thameside is a Shanly Homes scheme of 24 two and three bedroom flats and duplexes, the majority of which have balconies overlooking the river.

“This is a beautiful scheme in a perfect location,” says Georgie Roberts of Savills. “We are seeing demand from local people who like the convenience of a new build and the rarity factor of being on the river, as well as those families re-locating from London, who love what the town has to offer.”

“Another lovely dinner @ BoatmanWindsor, overlooking the #Thames and under the #WindsorCastle.”
