If a blocked nose is one of your predominant hay fever symptoms, you probably won’t find antihistamines helpful. Steroid sprays such as Beconase or Flixonase are better for helping to fight against blocked noses. If you know the time of year that you usually get affected, you can even start using your steroid nasal spray a few weeks beforehand to help reduce the severity of your symptoms. However, steroid sprays can cause a dry nose or mouth, so you must be careful not to overuse them.
