An itchy bottom is a particularly uncomfortable symptom and can have many causes. In children or people working with kids, threadworms are common, and these cause significant itchiness – particularly at night. Haemorrhoids (piles) cause itchy bottoms, often associated with bleeding or pain, too. Skin problems, such as thrush around the anus, can cause itching. All of these can be treated with products from the pharmacy.
