1 Fol­low the plan (right), which in­cludes three meals, a snack and a treat ev­ery day.

2 Feel free to munch on cru­dités if you’re still hun­gry in be­tween meals.

3 Aim to drink at least 2ltr of fluid daily, in­clud­ing wa­ter, herbal tea, low-calo­rie squash, tea and cof­fee with skimmed milk (from your daily milk al­lowance of 500ml skimmed milk or 250ml semi-skimmed milk, and 1 pot of low-fat yo­ghurt). Sorry, no booze, but there’ll be plenty at party time!

4 Don’t add salt, dress­ings or oils to food un­less stated. The more ac­tive you are, the more weight you’ll lose and the more you’ll tone up.
