Diversion delusion

‘Why bother when an MT-07 is 1200 quid less,’ you say [Bike, The Tests]. So being the owner of a Divvie F I took a test ride on the much lauded MT. Yes, it’s got a great motor at low to midrange, but the Divvie is way more entertaining at the top end when its R6 DNA shows through. The MT is horribly over-tyred at the back whereas the Divvie is much more natural handling on its 160 section rear. Quality, fit and finish are far superior and the fairing gives much better distance capability. So please either take the Divvie off your new bike listing [we have], or perhaps even ride one before making lazy pronouncements about it. Graeme Hyde, email

Of course we’ve ridden it and we admire your staunch, yet fancifully far-fetched defence, especially the R6 DNA bit – MG
