Triumph Street Scrambler

As surprises go, this is like finding out they sell Big Macs in Mcdonald’s. Far tastier, mind

-

Triumph’s retro line-up of Street Twin, T120 and Thruxton clearly lacked a dirt version, the older 865cc Scrambler standing out like a three-piece suit on a nudist beach. No surprise that there’s a new Street Scrambler for 2017. Based on the Street Twin the trendy semi-knobbly version has upswept pipes, longer shocks, larger 19-inch front wheel, wider ’bar, improved brakes, grippier footpegs and Metzeler Tourance tyres. The rear rack and pillion seat are interchangeable, pillion footpegs come off, and there’s an ‘all terrain-style’ bashplate. It’ll be available in black, red or khaki, and there are over 150 official accessories to sprinkle on.
