Like the North Amer­i­can equiv­a­lent of the Spot­ted Crake, the Sora is a small, yet chunky lit­tle crake. There have been fewer than 20 ac­cepted Bri­tish records, mostly in au­tumn, but also in spring, in­clud­ing a March in­di­vid­ual which was seen at Gi­bral­tar Point NNR, Lin­colnshire, in 2006.
