1The more open as­pect at­tracts Whitethroats, Wil­low War­blers, Reed Buntings and Kestrels.

2The Birch and conifer wood­lands at­tract Gold­crest, Coal Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Chif­fchaff, Black­cap, Gar­den War­bler, Great Spot­ted Wood­pecker, Treecreeper and Jay, with a chance of Wood­cock. This is a good spot for Siskin and Lesser Red­poll.

3Check pad­docks for pas­sage Red­start, Lesser Whitethroat, Meadow Pip­its and Green Wood­peck­ers. Mis­tle Thrushes breed and are joined by Red­wings and Field­fares dur­ing win­ter. Buz­zards and Spar­rowhawks are com­mon.

4Fol­low the lane to­wards the A5 – Red Deer may be seen.
