1The more open aspect attracts Whitethroats, Willow Warblers, Reed Buntings and Kestrels.
2The Birch and conifer woodlands attract Goldcrest, Coal Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Garden Warbler, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Treecreeper and Jay, with a chance of Woodcock. This is a good spot for Siskin and Lesser Redpoll.
3Check paddocks for passage Redstart, Lesser Whitethroat, Meadow Pipits and Green Woodpeckers. Mistle Thrushes breed and are joined by Redwings and Fieldfares during winter. Buzzards and Sparrowhawks are common.
4Follow the lane towards the A5 – Red Deer may be seen.
