SISKIN

Bird Watching (UK) - - 30 Years Of Birdwatching -

The acrobatic and charismatic Siskin started expanding its numbers and range south from its previous Caledonian forest strongholds in the 1950s, but in the last 30 years this has gathered pace, probably as major conifer plantations further south in the UK have matured and grown. The population is up from 300,000 breeding pairs (1988-1991) to 369,000.
