Bird Watching (UK) - - 30 Years Of Birdwatching -

This elu­sive reedbed-dweller has con­tin­ued a slow but steady ex­pan­sion in num­bers and range that ac­tu­ally be­gan back in the 1960s, with the help of Dutch birds find­ing their way across the English Chan­nel. There are now more than 600 breed­ing pairs in the UK, with birds found as far north as the Tay Es­tu­ary and even be­yond. Mild win­ters thanks to a warmer cli­mate have helped.
