Bird Watching (UK) - - Welcome -

Join volunteers of the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust for a night-time survey of the breeding ponds of our wackiest amphibian, the Great Crested Newt. Shine your torch carefully to avoid overly disturbing these creatures, but look diligently to spot a male suspended, motionless, in mid-water. A mountain range crests each male’s back and fire blazes on each belly. Should a female arrive, the male starts to dance, arching and corkscrewing and thrashing. April is breeding season for LANDSCAPE
