Bird Watching (UK) - - Your Birding Month -

Moth-trapping seems to be catching on in recent years, but those not wishing to illuminate their garden overnight can watch moths by day. Many species are diurnal, and spring’s resplendent example is the Emperor Moth. Both sexes have a huge eyespot on all four wings – to make predators think twice before chomping. The males possess densely feathered antennae, which they deploy to detect pheromone scent exuded by females.
