Bird Watching (UK) - - Go Birding -

A car park is here, plus a newly planted orchid and grassland area, offering finches such as Goldfinch, Chaffinch and Bullfinch, along with many flowers and insects in summer.

1A willow/alder carr is found before the main waters, which is great for warblers in spring with breeding Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Garden Warbler. Turtle Dove was once common here!

2Two hides are found around the east lagoon with bird feeders attracting even Water Rail to feed on waste. Look out for orchids along the tracks.

3Walk to the west lagoon via the River Tutt looking out for Kingfisher and Long-tailed Tits. An evening walk may give Barn Owl or a Little Owl.

4The west lagoon is ideal for grazing Wigeon in winter, with passage waders in spring and autumn.
