The feed­ing sta­tion near the vis­i­tor cen­tre at­tracts Wil­low Tit, Bullfinch, Green­finch, Reed Bunting and the oc­ca­sional Bram­bling.

1The marsh holds Shov­eler, Gad­wall, Teal, Wa­ter Rail and win­ter­ing Snipe and Jack Snipe (the lat­ter are dif­fi­cult to see). Reed, Sedge, Gar­den War­blers, Whitethroat and Black­cap breed.

2The is­lands at­tract breed­ing Lit­tle Ringed Plover, Lap­wing, Oys­ter­catcher and Com­mon Terns, with pas­sage mi­grants such as White and Yel­low Wag­tails, Meadow Pip­its and Wheatear.

3Forge Mill Lake at­tracts breed­ing Great Crested and Lit­tle Grebes while in win­ter Goosander are the star at­trac­tion be­ing joined by Wi­geon, Pochard, Shov­eler, Gad­wall, Teal and one or two Gold­eneye and oc­ca­sion­ally Pin­tail. Scarcer ducks have in­cluded Smew, Vel­vet Scoter and Long-tailed Duck.

4Hedgerows and wood­land hold breed­ing Lesser Whitethroat, Gar­den and Wil­low War­blers, Bullfinch, Great Spot­ted and Green Wood­peck­ers and Wil­low Tit.
