Bird Watching (UK) - - Go Birding -

The star birds on the heath in­clude a small pop­u­la­tion of Wood Lark and Dart­ford War­bler, along with Stonechat, Yel­lowham­mer, Wil­low and Gar­den War­blers.

1Check for birds such as tits and finches feed­ing along the wood­land mar­gin.

2Search for farm­land birds such as Kestrel, Red-legged Par­tridge, Stock Dove, Swal­low, Sky Lark, Meadow Pipit, Pied Wag­tail, Com­mon and Lesser Whitethroats.

3Conifer plan­ta­tions at­tract Coal and Marsh Tits, Gold­crest and maybe Firecrest or Cross­bill. The likes of Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Jay, Great Spot­ted Wood­pecker, Long-tailed Tit, Bullfinch, Chif­fchaff and Black­cap are all present.
