The rise of decking in back gardens, and concreted-over parking spots in front gardens, is thought to have hit many species hard. Put simply, birds need vegetation to survive, so if you do need to lose greenery in one area, try to compensate elsewhere. For example, you could keep plenty of planters and pot plants on any decking. Better still, keep some areas as natural as possible. This will not only ensure you hve an interesting garden but it will help attract a wide variety of birds for all the family to enjoy! Clean feeders mean healthy Greenfinches!

Healthy Greenfinches visting clean feeders Greenfinches, for example, suffered a population crash in recent years as a result of trichomonosis, a disease transmitted through bird feeders CLEAN FEEDERS
