1Check around the car park clearing for a range of common woodland birds including Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Nuthatch, Treecreeper and Great Spotted Woodpecker.

2The large clearing may attract a Tree Pipit or the chance of a Nightjar at dusk, plus Woodcock and Tawny Owl. A good spot for watching birds moving overhead, typically soaring raptors. Listen for Cuckoo and Turtle Dove around the margins.
