has sev­eral ex­cel­lent walks while are vis­it­ing Mull. It is one of the few es­tates in Scotland to take on a wildlife ranger and give guided walks to help visi­tors ap­pre­ci­ate the wildlife found there. I have vis­ited sev­eral times, most re­cently last Au­gust, and even stayed in the cas­tle. As you drop down from the stand­ing stones, there is a wet­land with sev­eral bog plants such as Marsh Rag­wort, Sneeze­wort and Marsh This­tle, with a pair of Ravens nest­ing in the wood be­hind. Both Snipe and Wood­cock feed in this area. Drag­on­flies were very much in ev­i­dence with Com­mon Hawker, Com­mon Darter and Golden-ringed still fly­ing.
