Tyou HE GLENGORM ESTATE
has several excellent walks while are visiting Mull. It is one of the few estates in Scotland to take on a wildlife ranger and give guided walks to help visitors appreciate the wildlife found there. I have visited several times, most recently last August, and even stayed in the castle. As you drop down from the standing stones, there is a wetland with several bog plants such as Marsh Ragwort, Sneezewort and Marsh Thistle, with a pair of Ravens nesting in the wood behind. Both Snipe and Woodcock feed in this area. Dragonflies were very much in evidence with Common Hawker, Common Darter and Golden-ringed still flying.
