Jump­ing onto one of the big trends of spring, largely in­ac­ces­si­ble Scolt Head Is­land, Norfolk, hosted per­haps the rarest bird of the re­gion, when an Alpine Ac­cen­tor ap­peared on 2nd May. Elsewe­here in the county, Black-headed Wag­tail and Savi’s War­bler were the best of the rest. Suf­folk had Laugh­ing Gull and Cambs a Great Reed War­bler.
