Park along Dryham Lane, checking hedges for Tree Sparrow and other hedgerow birds.
12 35Scan the Dryden flashes for waders and dabbling duck.
Start your walk around the circular route taking in first carp lake and far lake and distant farmland for geese and other farmland birds.
Listen out for the classic reed bed birds in spring and Water Rails in winter.
4Special pools have been made for dragonflies. A camera is a handy tool to capture them and ID from your photos, either on site or when you get home.
6Check the scrape for passing and breeding waders. Avocets are now well established here as a breeding bird with a flock of about 1,000 recently seen in the Humber. Continue checking the pools until returning to the start. Diving ducks are more likely to be found on the deeper pools so keep a look out for them, there.
