SEMIPALMATED PLOVER

Possibly overlooked owing to its similarity to the easily-ignored Ringed Plover, there have only been four (officially) accepted occurrences of this North American Charadrius in the UK. It is like a mix of Little Ringed and (mostly) Ringed Plovers, slightly smaller than the latter with a thin yellow orbital ring, reminiscent of Little Ringed.
