As the morn­ing’s bird­ing with Bill il­lus­trated, it’s worth keep­ing your eyes and ears open and binoc­u­lars handy wher­ever you are on the Heath, but par­tic­u­lar places that are al­ways worth a try are: The top of Par­lia­ment Hill, for great views of birds com­ing in The woods around Ken­wood House, where a pair of Hob­bies can of­ten be seen Bird feed­ers in the small patch of wilder­ness by High­gate Ponds The King­fisher bank by the Viaduct Pond While ar­eas such as Par­lia­ment Hill are well-watched and recorded, Bill sus­pects other ar­eas to the north and west are some­what un­der-watched and could make for some ex­cit­ing ex­ploratory bird­ing.
