WAYMARKERS
1 From the Discovery Centre follow the track south-east checking for those Red Kites and the river for Kingfisher. Blackbird, Song Thrush, Wren, Chaffinch, Robin and Blue, Great and Coal Tits are around. 2 Then, after crossing the road walk up to the small lake to check for Mute Swan. Mallard, Moorhen and Coot resident there. 3 Cross the railway line and join the track up through the fields where Green Woodpecker can be seen . Then walk through woodland looking for woodpeckers. 4 At the Clapping Wicket gate, take the track north-west towards Highland Farm , then along the edge of Sallow Coppice then through to the Roman Road. 5 Finally, cut along the north edge of the Coppice and pick up the Shropshire Way and return to Stokesay and the Discovery Centre.
