JERSEY: St Ouen’s logged hundreds of Reed and Sedge Warblers, 50 Yellow Wagtails, Wood Sandpiper, 20 Green Sandpipers, 10 Common Sandpipers, Red-crested Pochard, 20 Med Gulls, 19 Pochards, 10 Teal, 450 Coots, 20 Little Egrets, Cetti’s Warblers, three Shovelers, two Gadwall, Hobbies, Marsh Harriers, Peregrines and 10 Buzzards. Two Peregrines frequented St Thomas Church. Choughs bred at Sorel. Good numbers of Sandwich Terns moved through, with the odd Roseate and Arctic. A Great White Egret commuted between Handois, Dannemarche and Milbrook Reservoirs. Nine Curlew Sandpipers, 150 Ringed Plovers, 10 Dunlin, 10 Sanderling, Turnstones, 20 Little Egrets and a Cuckoo were at La Rocque. Some 500 Balearic 50 Manx and a Sooty Shearwater passed (21st). Noirmont had Ortolan Buntings, Whinchats, Redstarts, hundreds of Tree Pipits, Dartford Warblers and Wryneck. A Honey Buzzard was over Trinity (24th). Long-eared Owls were on the west of the island. An Icterine Warbler was on the Minquiers (30th). The Queen’s Valley Greenshank roost increased.
