Bird Watching (UK) - - Uk Bird Sightings August - Peter Bryant

HIGH­LIGHTS:

A White Stork was at Bed­ding­ton SF (1st-6th). A Honey Buz­zard flew over Banstead (22nd). A Pied Fly­catcher was at Tice’s Meadow, Farn­ham (31st).

LON­DON WC:

An Osprey flew over (31st). Other high­lights in­cluded Black-tailed God­wit, Black Tern, Gar­ganey, Yel­low Wag­tail, Wheatear and Whin­chat.

STAINES RESER­VOIRS:

There was a Lit­tle Stint (29th). Also seen were Black-necked Grebe, Black-tailed God­wit, Black Tern, Dun­lin, Knot, Sand­wich Tern, and Whin­chat.

OTHER SITES:

Marsh Har­ri­ers were at Comp­ton (8th) and Thorn­combe Street (30th) with a Wood War­bler (8th). Tice’s Meadow held a Black Tern (from 29th), Dun­lin, Green­shank, Ruff, San­der­ling and Wood Sand­piper. Thurs­ley Common held Wood Sand­piper, Green­shank and two Green Sand­pipers (16th). Bed­ding­ton SF had a Wood Sand­piper and Gar­ganey (3rd), and 21 Black Terns (19th).
