HIGH­LIGHTS:

A Black Stork was between Kirtling and Cowlinge at the be­gin­ning of Au­gust, and near So­ham (6th). A Wry­neck was at Elder­nell (31st), with up to four Red­starts (from 28th). A Pied Fly­catcher was at Quy Fen (24th), with a Red­start (26th). Other Red­starts were at Ferry Mead­ows (24th-25th), Wardy Hill Drove and Witcham (two on 24th). Two Cat­tle Egrets were at Nene Washes (18th-21st), with a Wood Sand­piper there (18th-20th). The Pec­toral Sand­piper re­mained at the Ouse Washes (to 10th), with a Curlew Sand­piper (22nd). A Honey Buz­zard flew over Wood­wal­ton Fen (4th). Grafham Water logged Sand­wich Terns (16th, 25th & 27th), 47 Black Terns (19th), Curlew Sand­pipers (21st & 24th) and a Red-necked Grebe (25th). A Spoon­bill was at Pax­ton Pits (16th), with a Shag (19th). Bur­well Fen had a Wood Sand­piper (1st), with three (22nd) and seven Lit­tle Stints (24th-29th). Four Lit­tle Stints were at the Cam Washes (27th). A Wood Sand­piper was at Maxey Pits (26th). Two Black-necked Grebes were at Fen Dray­ton Lakes (12th-17th). Robin Chit­ten­den.
