MIGRANT HAWKER

In a sheltered, sunny glade of a damp woodland, a predator lurks. Spotting an unsuspecting victim, the Migrant Hawker throttles into the air and speeds towards its next meal. Banded in blue, black and green, this smart insect remains on the wing later than any other dragonfly (sometimes until November) and sometimes feeds in groups.
