Bird Watching (UK) - - Your Birding Month -

No country is more important for Grey Seals than the UK, which allocates us considerable responsibility for safeguarding this marine mammal’s future. Some breeding colonies around the country, notably in Norfolk, are healthy, with pup production increasing each year. Grey Seals spend most months at sea, but come ashore in late autumn to pup and mate afresh. To preserve this strictly annual cycle, females delay implantation of the fertilised egg by three months.
