FLY AGARIC

Bird Watching (UK) - - Your Birding Month -

Ringing a never ending circuit around Silver Birch trees in damp woodland, Fly Agaric is the fungus of fairytales. Imperiously garbed in waxy scarlet and white, there is no more readily recognised mushroom in Britain. That is just as well, for while its vibrant coloration fascinates, it also intoxicates. Admire and photograph – but leave be.
