EAST SUS­SEX: A brown morph Red-footed Booby was washed ashore at St Leonard on Sea (4th), and was taken into RSPCA care. It was planned to fly the bird to Florida. Pos­si­ble Pal­lid Har­ri­ers were re­ported from Beachy Head (18th) and Pett Level (24th). Wry­necks were recorded at Sheep­cote Val­ley (1st), Shoot­ers Bot­tom (1st-7th), Beachy Head (11th), Hast­ings CP (18th) and Cuck­mere Haven (20th). Honey Buz­zards were re­ported from Beachy Head (4th, 12th, 17th & 21st), Hove (6th), and Weir Wood Reser­voir (19th & 21st). An Or­tolan Bunt­ing flew west at Seaford (6th). A first-win­ter Red-backed Shrike was at Tide Mills (21st-30th). A Barred War­bler was briefly recorded at Bish­op­stone (23rd). Two Glossy Ibises were seen at Rye Har­bour NR (18th).

WEST SUS­SEX: A Glossy Ibis was at Si­dle­sham Ferry (1st). A ju­ve­nile Pal­lid Har­rier Stor­ring­ton and The Burgh (13th-15th). An Or­tolan Bunt­ing was at Kithurst Hill (2nd-3rd). Wry­necks were at Church Nor­ton, Climp­ing, Pagham Har­bour and Selsey Bill. A ju­ve­nile Red-necked Phalarope was recorded at Thor­ney Is­land (5th-17th). A Honey Buz­zard was at Pagham Har­bour LNR (8th). A Pec­toral Sand­piper was at Shrip­ney (8th-10th). A Red-backed Shrike was at Pagham Har­bour LNR (15th).
