HIGHLIGHTS: An American Wigeon was at Cossington Meadows (8th-25th). A Crane was heard on nocturnal migration over Leicester (23rd). A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Burrough Hill (22nd).
CHARNWOOD: Cropston Reservoir held four Greenshanks (2nd-5th), eight Green Sandpipers (11th), four Black-tailed Godwits (5th), two Bar-tailed Godwits (10th), a Common Scoter (19th), Black Tern (8th-10th) and an Arctic Tern (9th-12th). Swithland Reservoir produced a Garganey (26th-30th), Common Scoter (30th) and 22 Mandarins (28th). Some 623 Meadow Pipits migrated over Deans Lane (28th). Bradgate Park had a Whinchat (6th) and Redstart (7th).
EYEBROOK RESERVOIR: Waders included nine Black-tailed Godwits (2nd), four Ruff, a Spotted Redshank (1st) and Greenshank (2nd-4th). There was a Garganey (26th), Black Tern (14th-17th), Pied Flycatcher (28th), six Whinchats (6th) and four Stonechats (30th).
NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE: An Osprey was at Kelham Bridge (24th). Seven Shags flew over Ibstock (8th). Longmoor Lake attracted two Whinchats (4th) and three Stonechats (25th). Three Caspian Gulls, two Mediterranean Gulls and 21 Ravens were at Albert Village.
OTHER SITES: A Garganey was at Birstall Meadows (14th). Another was at Melton CP (23rd), with a Pied Flycatcher nearby (14th). A Ruff was at Wanlip Meadows (18th).
