AVON VALLEY: An Osprey, Black Tern, Arctic Tern, three Ruff, two Greenshanks and four Whinchats were at Lower Moor. Hobbies flew over Evesham and Nafford. Whinchats were at Eckington and John Bennett Wetland (four).
CENTRAL: A Whinchat was at Coney Meadow. A Great White Egret, six Black Terns, a Black-tailed Godwit, two Ruff, two Greenshanks, a Whinchat and Hobby were at Grimley. A Whinchat was at Hindlip, where a Grey Plover flew over. A Quail was at Ladywood. A Hobby flew over Powick. A Black Tern, Greenshank and Whinchat were at Westwood Pool. A Nightjar was in a Worcester garden. Sandpiper, two Ruff, two Greenshanks and a Hobby were at Clifton. A Spotted Redshank, two Turnstones, a Greenshank, Black-tailed Godwit, Marsh Harrier, Black Tern, Little Gull, two Garganeys, a Pintail and two Hobbies were at Ripple.
NORTH: An Osprey, four Black Terns, a Black-tailed Godwit and Greenshank were Bittell Reservoirs. Six Whinchats were at Shenstone. A Glossy Ibis flew over Stone (25th). An Osprey flew over Tardebigge. Hobbies flew over Hagley and near Kidderminster (two). A Whinchat was at Wilden Top.
UPTON WARREN: Highlights included Worcestershire’s first Baird’s Sandpiper (9th-16th), a Sabine’s Gull (21st-22nd), Great White Egret, Osprey, Spotted Redshank, five Whimbrels, nine Black-tailed Godwits, a Ruff, four Greenshanks, an Arctic Tern, Yellow-legged Gull, two Hobbies, a Rock Pipit and Ring-necked Parakeet.
