HOLYHEAD AREA: The Alaw Estuary held a Lesser Yellowlegs (6th), three Great White Egrets (14th), 52 Bar-tailed Godwits, two Ruff, 17 Sanderling, 10 Greenshanks, three Green Sandpipers, four Curlew Sandpipers, seven Grey Plovers, three Whimbrels, 17 Knot, 11 Turnstones, nine Goosanders, seven Mediterranean Gulls and two Kingfishers. South Stack had a Jay (2nd), two Lapland Buntings (14th), a Dotterel (15th), Yellow Wagtail, Whinchat and Wheatears. A Firecrest Spotted Flycatcher, Whinchat, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Goldcrest were in Holyhead Breakwater CP. A Corn Crake was at Valley Wetlands (22nd).
OTHER SITES: Cemlyn logged a Wryneck (10th-17th), two Long-tailed Skuas, 17 Arctic Skuas, nine Great Skuas, a Balearic Shearwater, Black Tern, Greenshank, Golden Plover, Bar-tailed Godwit, Turnstone, Knot, Grey Plover, Whimbrel and Green Sandpiper. Malltraeth Marsh held two Purple Herons, a Great White Egret, Black-tailed Godwit, Greenshank and Green Sandpiper. Point Lynas had two Long-tailed Skuas, a Pomarine Skua, 19 Arctic Skuas, five Great Skuas, three Red-throated Divers, 108 Manx Shearwaters and 66 Common Scoters. A Yellow-browed Warbler was at Wylfa Head (22nd). Three Curlew Sandpipers were at Traeth Dulas. Three Scaup were on Llyn Llywean and a Great White Egret flew over Carmel Head on (24th). Ken Croft
