Bird Watching (UK) - - Uk Bird Sightings -

HIGH­LIGHTS: A Rose-coloured Star­ling was at Ynys­las (from 23rd), with two there (25th). There was a Black Tern at New Quay (4th), six Vel­vet Scot­ers at Clarach (15th), a Marsh Har­rier at Cors Fochno /Borth Bog (from 16th) and a Bit­tern at Rhos Llawr­cwrt (20th). A Po­ma­rine Skua was at New Quay (23rd). Great Skuas were at Aberys­t­wyth (3rd), New Quay (4th) and Gw­bert (10th). Arc­tic Skuas in­cluded 17 at New Quay (4th), with six there (28th), and five at Gw­bert (10th).

YNYS­LAS: Waders in­cluded two Whim­brels (1st), 25 Knot (9th), two Ruff, four Green­shanks (16th), four Lit­tle Stints, five Curlew Sand­pipers and 31 Black-tailed God­wits. Sand­wich Terns peaked at 90 (19th). A Mer­lin was present (23rd).

OTHER SITES: A Curlew Sand­piper and Lit­tle Stint were at the Teifi Es­tu­ary (1st). Two White Wag­tails were at Tanyb­wlch (1st) and one at Aberys­t­wyth (10th). An early Red-throated Diver was at New Quay (9th). Twelve were at Borth (20th), when 60 Com­mon Scot­ers were seen. There were 149 Mediter­ranean Gulls at Llanon (9th).
