HIGHLIGHTS: A Rose-coloured Starling was at Ynyslas (from 23rd), with two there (25th). There was a Black Tern at New Quay (4th), six Velvet Scoters at Clarach (15th), a Marsh Harrier at Cors Fochno /Borth Bog (from 16th) and a Bittern at Rhos Llawrcwrt (20th). A Pomarine Skua was at New Quay (23rd). Great Skuas were at Aberystwyth (3rd), New Quay (4th) and Gwbert (10th). Arctic Skuas included 17 at New Quay (4th), with six there (28th), and five at Gwbert (10th).
YNYSLAS: Waders included two Whimbrels (1st), 25 Knot (9th), two Ruff, four Greenshanks (16th), four Little Stints, five Curlew Sandpipers and 31 Black-tailed Godwits. Sandwich Terns peaked at 90 (19th). A Merlin was present (23rd).
OTHER SITES: A Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint were at the Teifi Estuary (1st). Two White Wagtails were at Tanybwlch (1st) and one at Aberystwyth (10th). An early Red-throated Diver was at New Quay (9th). Twelve were at Borth (20th), when 60 Common Scoters were seen. There were 149 Mediterranean Gulls at Llanon (9th).
