Bird Watching (UK) - - Uk Bird Sightings -

HIGH­LIGHTS: A Corn Crake was at Point of Ayr (29th), with a Yel­low-browed War­bler there (30th). The River Clwyd, Rhyl had a Short-toed Lark (13th), four Curlew Sand­pipers through­out and two Lit­tle Stints (1st-13th). A Surf Scoter, two Vel­vet Scot­ers and 5,000 Com­mon Scot­ers were off Lland­du­las (23rd).

COASTAL SITES: Con­nah’s Quay logged 2,000 Black-tailed God­wits, 20 Spot­ted Red­shanks, 18 Green­shanks, a Great White Egret (21st), good num­bers of Red­shank and Lap­wings, sev­eral White Wag­tails, Wheatear, Peregrine, Buz­zard and King­fisher. Twelve Spoon­bills flew over Bur­ton Point to­wards Flint (3rd). The three Marsh Har­ri­ers there (7th) prob­a­bly came from Bur­ton Marshes.
