SCAR­BOR­OUGH: A Red-backed Shrike was at Cromer Point (22nd). Yel­low-browed War­blers peaked at 18 (21st). Just three Pied Fly­catch­ers were recorded along the coast. Sea­watch­ing high­lights, mostly from Long Nab, in­cluded eight Long-tailed Skuas, two Cory’s Shear­wa­ters (5th), three Black-throated Divers, a Leach’s Pe­trel (14th), and good num­bers of Wi­geon, Teal and Pin­tails mov­ing mid-month. Sooty Shear­wa­ters peaked at 108 (17th). A Balearic Shear­wa­ter flew north (16th). A Roseate Tern headed south (8th). Three Ospreys and sev­eral Marsh Har­ri­ers passed through. South-west­erly winds saw 3,173 Meadow Pip­its fly south at Long Nab (11th), with 2,432 Swal­lows and 1,665 House Martins (6th).
