HIGH­LIGHTS: A Black Tern was at Black­ness (15th). A Hoopoe at Lix Toll (Killin) was only the fourth record for the area (16th). A Mediter­ranean Gull was off Black­ness (16th). A Guille­mot flew up Strath­fil­lan (23rd), with an­other at the head of Loch Tay (25th). Sk­in­flats held a Yel­low-browed War­bler (25th), only the sec­ond record for the Up­per Forth, and a Marsh Har­rier (26th). BO’NESS & BLACK­NESS: There were two Curlew Sand­pipers (16th and 29th), two Gan­nets (16th), with an­other (18th), ten Sand­wich Terns (29th) and a Lit­tle Gull (30th). CLACK­MAN­NAN­SHIRE: A Ruff was at Ken­net­pans (14th). A Guille­mot was on the Pool of Muck­hart (16th). A Long-tailed Duck was on Gart­morn Dam (21st). There were 362 Grey­lags, a Water Rail, 398 Lap­wings and five Dun­lin at Long­carse (22nd). FALKIRK DIS­TRICT: Seven Ringed Plovers and two Dun­lin were at Loch Ell­rig (4th). KINNEIL: Two Lit­tle Egrets were present (26th). POWFOULIS AREA: There were eight Grey Plovers, two Bar-tailed God­wits, a Green­shank and King­fisher (24th). SK­IN­FLATS: Max­ima were two Ringed Plovers (3rd), a Lit­tle Egret (10th), Lesser Whitethroat (15th), a Ruff and Green­shank (17th), nine Curlew Sand­pipers (20th), six Shov­el­ers and three Bar-tailed God­wits (24th), a Lit­tle Stint (25th) and six Grey Plovers (26th). STIR­LING DIS­TRICT: A Nuthatch was at Gartchonzie, Aber­foyle (17th). A Green Sand­piper flew from Cam­bushin­nie Loch (20th). Two Scaup were at the head of Loch Tay (30th). UP­PER FORTH ES­TU­ARY: A co-or­di­nated count pro­duced ten Great Crested Grebes, 2,503 Shel­ducks, three Gad­wall, 388 Teal, 22 Pin­tails, a Shov­eler, Scaup, 18 Red-breasted Mer­gansers, a Water Rail, 74 Oys­ter­catch­ers, six Ringed Plovers, 14 Golden Plovers, 760 Lap­wings, 749 Knot, a Curlew Sand­piper, 1,075 Dun­lin, four Ruff, 786 Black-tailed God­wits, a Bar-tailed God­wit, 658 Curlews, a Spot­ted Red­shank, four Green­shanks, 1,783 Red­shanks and five Turn­stones.
