HIGH­LIGHTS: Loch Leven hosted an Amer­i­can Wi­geon, two Slavo­nian Grebes (9th), a Lit­tle Ringed Plover (1st), Black Tern (10th-14th), 900 Pochards (12th), seven Ospreys (9th), White-tailed Ea­gle (5th) and Rock Pipit (30th). Green Sand­pipers were at Loch Leven (5th) and Glen­farg Reser­voir (18th). A Ra­zor­bill was at Dunkeld (11th). Guille­mots were at Loch Faskally (24th-25th) and on the Tay at Ken­more (29th). An im­pres­sive 106 Mute Swans were at Port Allen (13th). The first two Whooper Swans were at Loch Leven (17th), where waders in­cluded six Ringed Plovers (2nd), 400 Lap­wings (16th), 75 Dun­lin (29th), two Green­shanks and three Black-tailed God­wits through­out, a Wood­cock and 15 Ruff (2nd), Turn­stone (30th) and Bar-tailed God­wit (12th). The first 30 Pink­feet were near Pitrod­die (7th), with num­bers build­ing up to­wards the end of the month at Carse­breck and Loch Leven. Two Water Rails were at Vane Farm. An im­pres­sive 1,200 Lap­wings were at Carse­breck (20th). King­fish­ers were at Loch Leven (5th and 18th) and Perth (28th). A Sand Martin was at Loch Leven (27th), with a Ring Ouzel nearby (21st). Two Whitethroats were at Glen­farg Reser­voir (18th). A Spot­ted Fly­catcher was at Vane Farm (11th). Three Snow Bunt­ings were at Schiehal­lion (16th). Scott Pater­son (pkrecorder@the-soc.org.uk)
