Fol­low the signs for the rail­way once you’ve ar­rived in the town WHERE TO PARK: Space for sev­eral cars in Sta­tion Road, but the car park is oc­ca­sion­ally open in the sta­tion TER­RAIN: Mostly flat with a hard sur­face. Best to use train­ers or harder walk­ing shoes AC­CES­SI­BIL­ITY: All year round walks FA­CIL­I­TIES: Ev­ery­thing you need is in Al­ston PUBLIC TRANS­PORT: A lim­ited bus ser­vice runs from Bramp­ton to Al­ston pass­ing Tin­dale. Trains stop at Bramp­ton junc­tion.
