HIGHLIGHTS: A Gannet flew over Cholesbury (2nd). A Great White Egret was at Calvert (28th), with four Bearded Tits there (25th). Seven Whooper Swans were at Foxcote Reservoir (20th) and five more flew into Bucks from Wilstone Reservoir (20th). A Scaup was at Little Marlow GP (24th-30th). A Marsh Harrier flew over Steps Hill (4th) as did a Bar-tailed
Godwit (31st). A Short-eared Owl was at Sherington (28th). A Rock Pipit was at Dorney Lake (31st). Yellow-browed Warblers were at Common Wood (17th) and Black Park (20th).
CALVERT LAKES: There was a Bittern (22nd-29th), a Pintail on three dates, Goosander (19th), Jack Snipe (19th-28th) and Caspian Gulls (6th & 19th).
IVINGHOE HILLS: Several Ring Ouzels passed through (3rd-18th), maximum 10 (7th). There was a Merlin (3rd).
LITTLE MARLOW GP: A Pintail (3rd) and Jack Snipe (13th) were seen.
MANOR FARM: There was a Pintail (4th), two Goosanders (22nd) and a Jack Snipe (23rd).
WILLEN LAKES: Pintail (25th), Red-crested Pochard (15th) and Jack Snipe (29th) were seen.
OTHER SITES: A Bittern was at Weston Turville Reservoir (29th). Five Grey Partridges were at Hardmead (6th). A Caspian Gull was at Foxcote Reservoir (21st). Ring Ouzels were at Lodge Hill (6th & 11th), Pitstone Hill (5th & 7th) and Quainton Hills (5th). Adam Bassett (www.bucksbirdclub.co.uk)
